Material Girls is Port Talbot and Afan Women’s Aid’s textile recycling Social Enterprise that empowers women with new skills and confidence.

Fashion with a conscience

 2014

Material Girls trades and recycles pre-loved and vintage fashion online and at events to empower women with new skills and confidence; enabling women to flourish and live independent lives.

Since 2013, Material Girls has supported over 200 volunteers with 49% of volunteers progressing onto further training, employment or education in 2015.

Material Girls is currently funded by the South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner’s Victim Support Fund and WCVA’s Volunteering in Wales fund.

How to get involved:

Material Girls are always appealing for donations of unwanted vintage and pre-loved clothing, shoes and accessories.

Why not arrange a ‘bring a bag to work day’ at your organisation?
