RECLAIM Local young girls leading the way
RECLAIM work with young people who demonstrate leadership potential, come from working class communities and have social change at heart.
RECLAIM equip them with the skills, networks and experience to get their voices heard and fulfil their ambitions, tackling leadership inequality head-on!
RECLAIM has been delivered 20 programmes across greater Manchester and has recently come to Port Talbot.
RECLAIM work with young people who demonstrate leadership potential, come from working class communities and have social change at heart. RECLAIM is currently running a leadership programme for 12-13 year old, working class girls who live or go to school in Port Talbot, to help them lead change.
The girls have come up with their manifesto for their community which is:
- Young people to have a voice and lead change
- Support local businesses to give them a fair chance
- Use our empty buildings to help the poor
- Give girls opportunities to be seen and heard
Our Director, Lucy Reynolds, welcomed 3 young girls into our organisation to provide them with a mock job interviews to help encourage them to achieve the goals they set.
