At PTAWA we offer a range of services for children between 0 – 16 years old who have been affected by Domestic Abuse:

1-1 Support (3 – 16 year olds)

  • On average 8-10 sessions.
  • Takes place at school, at home or at our offices.
  • Offers support in building confidence, managing emotions, and anger issues following DA.

S.T.A.R. Programmes (4-6 year olds) (7-11 year olds)

  • Safety, Trust and Respect groups.
  • 10 week programmes for both children and parents to complete together.
  • Covers topics such as Domestic Abuse, Safety Planning and emotions.

Recovery Toolkit (10-16 year olds)

  • 8 week programme that helps older children to come to terms with living with DA.
  • Provides support on how to move on.
  • Covers DA, healthy relationships, and self-esteem.

Doodle Den After School Club (3-11 year olds)

  • Takes place in a local school 1 day a week after school.
  • A club designed to offer gentle support for children who have experienced DA.
  • Covers DA, safety planning, healthy relationships and confidence building.

Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) (0-5 year olds)

  • An innovative method that works with mothers and children who have experienced DA.
  • Can help with attachment and bonding issues.
  • Builds confidence in parenting.
  • Up to 5 sessions over 12-16 weeks.
